Professor “Marinho” Vauvenargues Vicentini 5th degree jiu-jitsu Black Belt under Master Carlson Gracie.

Marinho  received his Black Belt directly from the hands of Master Carlson in April on 1999.

Marinho taught at the Carlson Gracie Club ( historic Carlson Gracie Club in Copacabana, Rio – Brazil) from 1993 to 2000.

From 1999 to 2015, Professor Marinho was the Head Defense Tactics and Jiu-jitsu at the Federal Police Academy in Rio de Janeiro.

with over 30 years of experience in both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) , Self Defense, Judo and MMA.

After sixteen years teaching defense tactics as head instructor the Federal Police Academy in Rio de Janeiro – Brazil- Marinho relocated with his family to the United States and Napa, CA. In his years prior to residing in Napa, Marinho travelled the world coaching and cornering for several MMA and BJJ champions .Marinho is excited to offer world class martial arts and be a part of a growing and diverse Napa community through the Carlson Gracie Napa Valley Academy.

The Academy and Marinho Professor are dedicated to providing students, adults and children, with a positive environment to learn, practice, and grow with a focus on self-empowerment, family, and homage through the real Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
